Thistle

Beautiful....& Troublesome! They are a pasture's worse enemy. Yet as with all things wild I find them beautiful

California thistle? I dug out some the other day. Their flowers are so pretty but the plant is so much trouble. Great photos!!!!

Ok Rachel no excuses you ARE an artist - your photography is awesome - the only way you can improve your drawing or painting or sketching skills is to just do it - we make our kids practice spelling / piano / dance / sports - and don't expect masterpieces from them why do it to yourself? - give yourself permission to learn and fail and enjoy the process - it is hard but if you start now just think where you might be in 5 or 10 years - I regret that I did no art for twenty five years ( from the age of 20 to about 45 I did no drawing or painting) relax don't expect perfection in fact expect lots of failures post them or not - I sometimes post my failures but mostly I don't post what I don't like (hence fewer posts!) any way happy Turkey day to you and your family -

Hello to you there!
I am from the horsesy blog you clicked "follow/lead/share" on!

I stared and stared at the Thistle picture at the top of the page...it did seem to change and glow green then grey again. I am loving that!
Beautiful, my mare loves to eat the tops of the thistle...ever so gently as not to recieve and pricks on her lips!

They are beautiful. I'll have to keep an eye out in my pasture for them.

Hey all horse stuff!2 Glad you stopped by! Thats a cool pic if I say so myself! LOL They are a nasty flower tho! They spread like wildfire if you dont mow them down before they go to seed! Yes Christy...keep em away if possible, you'll not want them around, specially if you see how fast they spread and they are prickly too!
